Kevin Duffy on the Constitution

For a contract to be binding, all parties have to agree to it.  I.e., the idea of a "social contract" is a contradiction.  The Constitution is simply a document useful to those in power.  They use it how they see fit: 

a) to give their protection racket a sense of legitimacy 
b) to give them a framework to pass edicts on the rest of us 
c) to ignore when it ties their hands
