Porter Collins on the shift right in world politics

Trump is a walking volatility machine.  He is driving Democrats and the Democratic Party insane.  It's in complete disarray at this point...  Look at all the big donors.  All the big donors switched sides immediately.  Elon [Musk], who was Mr. green, Mr. ESG, now he's a hard core right-wing guy.  Tim Cook, Mr. DEI himself, was front row at the inauguration.

And so not only have the politics swung, but the money has swung.  Always follow the money.  The money [has] gone all-in on the Republicans: Facebook, Dana White, all this stuff.  The rest of the world's kind of moving right, too.  A lot of Latin American politics, European politics, all moving to the right.

Barton Swaim: Democratic Party is "the educated party"

The most obvious change in American politics this century is the sorting of voters along educational lines.  The Democrats are increasingly the party of educated urban elites; the GOP belongs to the white working class.  The dispute is over suburban and minority voters.  The latter still plump mostly for Democrats, although the party’s social radicalism is pushing them toward the GOP.  Voters with impressive educational credentials tend to be Democrats, and those without them lean strongly Republican.

That one party is the educated party—that its members see themselves, in some respects accurately, as more cultured and informed than their opponents—has generated an intellectual pathology that is obvious to everyone but themselves.  Adherents of the smart-people party have lost the capacity for self-criticism.  Which on its face makes sense.  If your views are by definition intelligent, those of your critics must be dumb.  Who needs self-reflection?

Vasko Kohlmayer on why the left pushes transgenderism

The well-being of so-called transgender people is not... what Joe Biden and his handlers really care about.  After all, Joe Biden had never been known to be particularly friendly toward LGBT.  It is the movement’s proclivity toward reality negation that those who pull the strings of this frail man find so appealing.  They have appropriated the transgender cause because it allows them to gaslight the American people, and gaslighting has become the left’s modus operandi.

Tom DiLorenzo on the Democratic Party strategy to win the 2020 presidential election

I wrote last March that the order had apparently come down from the Democrat National Committee that if you wanted a future in Democrat politics Mr. Mayor, Mrs. Governor, and Miss City Councilwoman, then you will destroy your local economy as much as possible for as long as possible with lockdowns in order to harm Trump’s chances in November.  Nothing else matters – not the millions of lost jobs, the destroyed businesses, the home foreclosures, the depression and suicide that would inevitably result – nothing.  Keep the public terrified, depressed, and miserable, and we will win in November has been their strategy.

Kevin Duffy on brand destruction

I don't recall a time of so much self-inflicted brand destruction: NBA, ESPN, mainstream media, Democratic Party, Federal Reserve, U.S. Dollar.
