Tom Bernhardt compares Anthony Fauci to antagonist in Atlas Shrugged

For those who have read Atlas Shrugged, it occurs to me that [Dr. Anthony] Fauci is perfectly characterized by [Ayn] Rand as Dr. Robert Stadler.  Like Stadler, Fauci is a brilliant scientist seduced by political power.  Fauci has been caught repeatedly lying and exaggerating to empower the political class and otherwise ingratiate himself to others.  As with other Rand's antagonists, Fauci is also a diminutive beta male who seeks power and status via politics.
