The politicization of the NBA was predictable because the franchise enjoys a symbiotic relationship with government, including subsidies for lavish sports arenas. These subsidies (payed by the taxpayer) go into the pockets of billionaire owners and millionaire players. Welfare for the rich.
Instead of being grateful, they insult the very people who support them. Worse, they insult our intelligence promoting a bogus cause. (If anyone who worked for the NBA, TNT or ESPN condemned black communities for disproportionately high levels of fatherless families and violent crime, they'd be fired in a heartbeat. "Action" always means extracting more money from the hapless taxpayer and never taking responsibility.)
The official narratives don't just stop at BLM. If you're in a bubble, and everyone is testing negative for Covid and young and healthy, why the incessant mask-wearing? Why is a young, attractive female reporter wearing a mask when she's practically the only person in the gym? This is nothing more than cramming more of the official propaganda down our throats. It's not even subtle.
We're living in the Matrix.

It's sad that this article never mentions once the reason the NBA players decided not to play for a while. It is to draw attention to Black people who have been shot and or killed by police when it hasn't been necessary. Colin Kapernick tried to address it, but instead of a discussion that would have led to better police training, The focus became the insult to America of taking a knee. Now here we are again and the discussion shifts awayfrom the topic. People must realize that until the topic is dealt with on a national level, The killings and frustrations from all sides will continue.
John- there is simply no way of dealing with criminal activity. A disproportionate amount of serious crime occurs in the black community and always has. It's a black problem- not a white one. 72% of black children have no father and thus they shoot each other in the thousands in gangs and inner cities, in Chicago, Baltimore, and New Orleans.
Blaming the cops is idiotic. Follow the rules and the law. Every one of these recent deaths occurred in the midst of criminal activity. We find now that Floyd had lethal dose of fentenyl in his blood. We find that the black man who was shot in Kenosha had a knif, had attacked officers, and was wanted for digitally raping an ex and violating a restraining order.
Is this the kind of conduct you condone and Kaep protests?
America is in the midst of a problem I correctly diagnosed some 13 years ago. The absolute inability of our society to accept responsibility for their poor decisions and actions. Everyone is a victim in our culture and poor decisions are justified while yours are not. This lack of taking responsibility for one's actions, that it's ok to burn, steal, and kill because I am a victim- has now reached a fever pitch. It's an epidemic. And it is re-enforced by idiots that enable such behavior to continue.
Only time will cure this mess. I am talking hundreds of years. It has been 155 years since the Civil War ended yet here we are pointing fingers. Kneel all you want- nothing is going to change. Even Lincoln knew that.
On the other hand people like or don't mind being controlled. It makes them feel "safe." Thus, I have no mercy for people when they suffer the consequences. They say they want freedom but aren't willing to take even the simplest of actions (i.e. NOT donning a mask - IN THEIR OWN VEHICLE!) How stupid! No pity!
If you think people of color are the problem and not the systems put in place to control them, I ask you to please watch 13th the Netflix documentary film. It will give you some insight into African American history, treatment, abuse and control. To have a discussion on a topic we need to know the history first.
