Kevin Duffy on averting a civil war in the U.S.

This country is headed towards a civil war for many reasons, but binary thinking is a huge part. We need to work on 3 things, imo:

1. Stop questioning the motives of your opponents. Let's face it, 99.9% of our friends are peaceful people you'd want as neighbors and all they want is a prosperous, safe country to live in. 
2. Look for common ground. 
3. Think out of the box, i.e. look to solve problems by repealing laws, not adding them. 

I understand this is a different approach, but we need some fresh thinking. I can think of a lot of areas where we could apply this method, including abortion, foreign policy, and government counterfeiting (the Fed).

These solutions will be uncomfortable for BOTH parties.
