Laura Tyson lauds Ceausescu's Romanian economy

[Rumania achieved] dazzling growth rates in the 1970s.  Investment grew more rapidly in Rumania than in the other [Eastern] Bloc countries throughout most of the postwar period, and by 1974, Rumania's investment effort, expressed as a share of material product, was the highest in the Bloc and perhaps in the world.
