Mitch McConnell on raising the debt limit

Democrats are preparing another staggering taxing and spending spree without any Republican input or support.  Bipartisanship is not a light switch that Speaker Pelosi and Leader Schumer may flip on to borrow money and flip off to spend it.

Andrew Wiggins on his decision to submit to local vaccine mandates

I guess to do certain stuff, to work, you don't own your body.  That's what it comes down to.  If you want to work in society today, then I guess they made the rules of what goes in your body and what you do.

~ Andrew Wiggins

President Biden on raising the debt limit

We're able to borrow because we always pay our debt.  We always pay what we owe.  We've never failed.  That's America.  That's who we are.  That's what's called for.  It's called "full faith and credit of the United States."  It's rock solid.  It's the best in the world.

Dr. Anthony Fauci on the pandemic and the greater good

You are a member of society.  And as a member of society, reaping all the benefits of being a member of society, you have a responsibility to society.  And I think each of us, particularly in the context of a pandemic that's killing millions of people, you have got to look at it and say there comes a time when you do have to give up what you consider your individual right of making your own decision for the greater good of society.

Janet Yellen on the debt ceiling

I can't think of anything more harmful to the role of the U.S. dollar than failing to raise the debt ceiling.

Draymond Green on vaccine mandates

You say we live in the land of the free, well you're not giving anyone freedom because you're making people do something essentially...  That goes against everything that America stands for, or supposedly stands for.

~ Draymond Green, Golden State Warriors power forward, press conference about teammate Andrew Wiggins' Covid-19 vaccination status, September 30, 2021

Kevin Duffy on the Constitution

For a contract to be binding, all parties have to agree to it.  I.e., the idea of a "social contract" is a contradiction.  The Constitution is simply a document useful to those in power.  They use it how they see fit:

a) to give their protection racket a sense of legitimacy
b) to give them a framework to pass edicts on the rest of us
c) to ignore when it ties their hands
