Kissinger receiving his 1973 Nobel Peace Prize from Thomas Byrne, US Ambassador to Norway. Kissinger shared the award with Le Duc Tho, North Vietnam's negotiator, "for jointly having negotiated a ceasefire in Vietnam in 1973." Tho refused the award.
